Overview

Caffe Napoli Vitruvio, nestled on Via Vitruvio in the heart of Milan, offers a genuine Italian coffee experience that appeals to both locals and travelers alike. This intimate coffee shop stands out for its traditional Neapolitan espresso and a thoughtfully curated selection of pastries that capture the essence of Southern Italy’s bakery heritage.

The heart of Caffe Napoli Vitruvio lies in its espresso—the classic Neapolitan Coffee—as well as inventive specialties like the Caffè Mergellina and Nutella Caffè Speciale. These drinks highlight a balance between rich coffee flavors and subtly sweet, creamy textures. Standouts such as the Marocchino with a double shot offer a bold, aromatic experience that lingers pleasantly. For those seeking variety, there are decaffeinated options and plant-based milk alternatives, ensuring inclusivity for diverse preferences.

Complementing the coffee, the pastry menu showcases authentic delights like Sfogliatella Riccia, Graffa Napoletana, and the signature Pistacchio Croissant. This croissant, filled with pistachio sauce, has gained notable acclaim for its perfect dough and nuanced sweetness, though some find the creaminess a bit rich. The small size of the café means it can get lively and crowded, especially during peak hours, but it also fosters a bustling neighborhood atmosphere reminiscent of classic Milanese spots.

The intimate space invites quick stops rather than long, leisurely stays, making it ideal for commuters and visitors en route to Milan’s train stations. Service is friendly and efficient, with baristas who engage warmly and speak English, further enhancing the welcoming vibe. This café suits those who appreciate high-quality coffee coupled with genuine Italian hospitality and are ready to embrace a vibrant, energetic environment.

In summary, Caffe Napoli Vitruvio is a must-visit for lovers of expertly crafted espresso and traditional Neapolitan pastries. The combination of authentic flavors, a well-rounded menu, and a strategic location in Milan creates an inviting stop where the essence of Italy’s coffee culture can be savored in every sip and bite.

A great spot to grab a quick bite on your way to the Train station. Service was super quick, Coffee was superb! I got cappuccino and pistachio croissant, the croissant dough was just perfect (they put Pistachio sauce in, which is the new trend I guess) but the croissant and coffee were spectacular. Very nice guy on the counter, will come back tomorrow to try their sandwiches. Congratulazioni al Napoli!

What a cute little coffee spot! They also have decaf and oat milk options! We saw a lot of people having coffee on the go there but it’s also suitable for sitting outside if you are two or three people. The ricotta and oragne desert from napoli was jummy. The barista was super friendly and speaks English

Little loud. I guess because I’m new to Milan atmosphere. But the coffee is GREAT!!! I would definitely go every time I’m in town and would recommend to any one loves real good coffee. I tried moracchino with double shot. It was heavenly delicious. My friend tried cappuccino pistachio it was great, but order it with double shot to taste stronger coffee than the pistachio. After all, go get it people!

Great hospitality and high-quality coffee. The space is a bit small, but since people don’t stay long, the wait time isn’t too bad. Recommended for travelers who want to experience an Italian-style atmosphere. Note: The pistachio cream croissant is a little sweet for my taste.

I'll reduce one star because the caffe posillipo was comically small for the price. Great taste but really tiny. The Pistacchio cornetto and the sfogliatelle mignon were really delicious, like I enjoyed every single bite till the end. The place is pretty small with hardly any place to sit, but so are many cafes in Italy...so that's ok I guess. The other downside is it's really crowded and it's really hard to enjoy coffee in peace, plus the seating is extremely limited. I had to walk out without ordering anything the second time as it was ridiculously busy.

Quaint little breakfast and coffee spot. The cappuccinos are unique (Pistachio, Nutella & Caramel) but a little too sweet for my taste. My favourite were the sandwiches tho! We got all 3 (Parma, Jamón & Prosciutto) but my favorite was Jamón. Cheese , tomatoes & bread were crisp and warm! Lovely start to our trip!
